English - "Skeleton Creek" - writing prompt

Math -review quiz, Money Subtraction W.S.

Spelling - review week (new lists will be sent home tomorrow)

Science - continued discussion of food chains/webs - mini-quiz Friday (see vocab below)

Reading - no homework

Social Studies -no homework

Two short notes were sent home today with the students. The first related to pajama day tomorrow and what is considered appropriate attire...especially with the impending cold weather. Which brings me to the second note, which regards the chance of a 2-hour delay tomorrow. Please be sure to check your local radio and television stations to check for any delays or cancellations.

Science vocab:
Producer - green plants capable of making their own food using energy from the Sun in a process called photosynthesis. (produces food)

Consumer - animals that cannot make their own food (consumes other animals)

Decomposer - unable to make their own food, so they rely on breaking down wastes and dead organisms for food (decomposes its food)

Carnivore -  eats only meat


Herbivore-  eats only plants


Omnivore-  eats both plants and animals
