Woo-Hoo! Today is the last day of heat schedule...as far as we know. Hopefully that heat will stay away and we can get settled in to our regular schedule here in 4th grade! Today, we had a few new happenings in our class. First, we introduced reading centers into the curriculum so that the students will have a choice between different reading activities (which went very well, and seem to be well-received). We also began our new unit in Science...Rocks and Minerals! Hopefully this will be an awesome unit, as we are using supplies from Augustana College. A side note....there will be a quiz early next week over the Science notes from this week! The Math assignment for the evening is also the student's first attempt at completing it on their own at home. It was pg.21-23, #1-30 all. The students are encouraged to try their best, but we will be covering the written practice tomorrow for any questions. Study those Science notes!
